LOVE SONNET TO MELANIE GROSS
Oh muse upon whom we should call
Had Melanie’s beauty not affected your fall
From Olympus made dreary, grant,
That my senses should not become weary,
through her beauty that would them enthrall.
In this my delegation
regarding our separation
my heart burns with trepidation
awaiting that beauteous apparition
Your wondrous face angelic
Which to any Trojan would appear Helenic.
It seem but a short time ago,
Where I spied you across the row
Not a stones throw
Away from me
Ne’er did my heart beat so free
That I admit I found myself in ecstasy.
What more to say,
Except that my heart will be gay,
When upon that day,
I have the courage to declare
My relentless adoration
Which your person has done ensnare
We thus must end this sonnet here
Though be assured
We, your visage still hold dear
Though to you nerds we may appear.
